WHAT IS THE ASVAB?
Before you join the Illinois Army National Guard, you'll need to take a standardized assessment called the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). This test is meant to identify your strengths and determine which career paths may be the best fit for you.
The ASVAB isn't a test you need to fear- every applicant takes it. The exam takes approximately 3.5 hours to complete. Preparing ahead of time can help you feel more confident, become familiar with the testing process, and identify areas where additional study may improve your score.
