As a part of the Ohio Army National Guard's commitment to supporting student athletes across the state, Operation Buckeye Guard offers exciting benefits to coaches and players throughout Ohio. From conditioning bootcamps to help players prepare for the season ahead, presentations on teamwork and leadership to ensure a winning mindset, or military appreciation games to celebrate local soldiers and students who are enlisting, Operation Buckeye Guard provides a variety of ways to support student athletes as well as local military personnel.
Military Appreciation Games
Military Appreciation Games are a great way to honor current and former students who are currently serving in the US Armed Forces as well as veterans in your local community. The Ohio Army National Guard offers a variety of resources that can make your school's Military Appreciation Game the event of the season. These include camouflage jerseys for the players to wear, tunnels and smoke machines for the players to run through at the start of the game, soldiers to deliver the game ball or officiate the coin toss, and many more.
Conditioning Bootcamps
If you're looking to improve your team's fitness levels and help your players push themselves to new heights, you should consider hosting a sports conditioning bootcamp through the Ohio Army National Guard's Operation Buckeye Guard program. Led by a local soldier, these conditioning bootcamps include sport specific exercises to ensure the workouts not only boost players conditioning but also works on skillsets relevant to their sport.
